I came up with a cool new feature for LinkedIn that I think job seekers will love! Imagine being able to track and manage all your job applications right within LinkedIn—no more juggling separate documents. With just a few filters, you can see the status of each application in one glance. Plus, you can review the type of application you sent and even manually update the details. It’s like having your job search dashboard, giving you a clear overview of where you stand.
Increased User Engagement
Estimated +25-35% in user session length as users frequently check updates and manage their applications.
Enhanced User Satisfaction
Projected +30-40% increase in user satisfaction and loyalty by offering a streamlined job application management system.
Competitive Advantage
Potential +15-20% increase in job seekers attracted to LinkedIn, boosting user base and market share.
Monetization Opportunities
Anticipated +20-30% rise in revenue through premium subscriptions and targeted advertising opportunities.
Data Insights
Improved analytics capabilities, providing valuable insights into hiring trends and user preferences, enhancing LinkedIn's data-driven services.

People get annoyed when they have to write down all the details of each job application in separate files.
It's hard for people to update their job applications manually. For example, they can't withdraw an application if they decide not to continue with that job.
People want to quickly see an overview of their applications before scrolling through a feed or applying for more jobs. Currently, LinkedIn doesn't offer this feature.
They wish they could set reminders for upcoming interviews. Right now, they can't do that.

I transformed the idea into an interactive low-fidelity digital prototype and offered it to five potential users in order to get their input.

Knowing what bothers users and talking to them helps understand their issues better.
Start getting feedback from users as soon as you can; it helps figure out the problem.
Changing and improving designs over time is crucial. No design is perfect, they're always getting better.
